"A Cornucopia of Wisdom"
Welcome to Merry Meet 2007!

Merry Meet is the annual National Meeting of the Covenant of the Goddess (CoG), a Conference and Pagan Festival. The meeting, called Grand Council, is where members and representatives of the members covens come together to discuss the official business of Covenant. During the meeting relevant issues that affect the organization and the Community are debated within a consensus format. The Grand Council Conference itself (separate from the Festival) is open without registration to walk-ins.

Merry Meet is hosted each year by one of the Local Councils. With CoG members coming from all over the United States, the hosting Local Council is able to offer a unique event to their local Community. This year Merry Meet is being hosted by Weaver’s Local Council, the North Eastern Chapter of CoG. It will be held at the University of Massachusetts in western Massachusetts. In addition to Grand Council, we have decided to offer a Festival and Conference! From August 3rd through 5th, the UMass Campus Center will be filled with venders, workshops, panel discussions, a dinner concert and masquerade ball.

In addition, on Thursday, August 2nd, Weaver’s will be offering the Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute is a full day set aside for those who are interested in developing their leadership and clergy skills. This year the Institute will focus on Intra- and Interfaith. A very special Luncheon with local members of Interfaith Councils is included in the Leadership Institute registration.

Our event will be peppered with poster presentations highlighting various presentations and Local Council activities. This visual sharing will help to expand your Merry Meet experience. During the lunch hours time will be offer to view posters and allow attendees to meet with presenters outside of the classroom.

Please explore our website for information on Accommodations, Workshops, Vendors, Rituals, and other special events.

Weaver’s has made a great effort to keep the costs of Merry Meet as low as possible. To allow freedom of choice, with the exception of the Leadership Institute, meals are not included with the Registration Fee. There are, however, excellent restaurants on site and the campus is within easy commute to Amherst center. There are two optional events to foster the sharing of meals and conversation. Friday evening we are thrilled to offer a dinner concert with Mother Tongue. Saturday lunch will be a Barbeque by the campus pond with entertainment provided by one of our local performers. You MUST purchase your ticket(s) for these events prior to July 19, 2007 as tickets will not be available on the day of the event!

Registering and Paying for Merry Meet is easy! Clink on the Registration link to bring you to the on-line Registration form (forthcoming) or download and print out either a pdf or word version and mail it to our PO Box. A confirmation will be sent to you either through your email or mailing address.
