There are a number
of affordable choices for overnight accommodations for Merry Meet: Campus
Center Hotel, Campus Dorms, Local Hotels, Local Bed & Breakfasts
and Camping are all available.
You will need to
make your own reservations for lodging UNLESS you choose to live in
a U MASS dormitory room. These, and only these, will be provided via
MerryMeet 2007 Organizers.
Campus
Center Hotel
The University Campus
Center Hotel has reserved a block of hotel rooms for our event. The
Campus Center Hotel is part of the University Campus Center Building
where Merry Meet is being held. Campus Hotel Reservations must be made
before July 18th. After that date, rooms will be released to the general
public.
It is
the responsibility of the attendee, not the organizers, to make Campus
Center Hotel reservations.
Continental Breakfast is included in the Hotel reservation fee.
All rooms are on non-smoking floors and include 2 double beds. Rooms
with a king-size bed and rooms that allow smoking may be requested.
Room charges at the Campus Center Hotel are per room, not per person.
It is the same nightly fee whether there are 1 or 4 people in the room.
There is a $10 per night fee for an additional cot. If you wish to share
a room, it is responsibility of the attendee to locate and make arrangements
with potential roommates. Weaver’s will offer a room share board
on our web site for those interested in locating a roommate.

COSTS: Wednesday
and Thursday Nights: $82.00 per room per night
Friday Night and Saturday Nights: $98.00 per room per night
Parking in the Campus Center Garage is available to Hotel guests for
$5.00 per night. Reserve your parking space when you place your reservations.
U
Mass Dormitories
Dorm rooms
MUST be reserved through the organizers. Reservations for UMass Dorm
rooms must be made prior to July 12th.
These rooms are
available on a limited first come, first served basis. Dorm rooms have
shared bathrooms. There are no telephones or televisions in the rooms.
We will not know which dorm will be assigned to our group until shortly
before our event. The organizers can not guarantee the closeness of
the dorm to the Campus Center, the building in which Merry Meet is being
held. Nor can the organizers guarantee that the room will have air conditioning.
The organizers strongly encourage those with mobility or health issues
to reserve a room in the Campus Center Hotel!

NOTE:
There is a $50 replacement fee for a lost dorm keys! Dorm room keys
must be turned in to the University prior to the end of our event or
you will be charged $50.
Outdoor
Camping
Barton Cove Campground is located in
Gill, MA, which is approximately 17 miles from UMass, Amherst.
Camp
sites currently start at $18.00 per night. Reservations open on the
first Wednesday in April and spaces are limited. You will need to make
your own reservations.
