WORKSHOPS
AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Are you tired of attending Merry Meet and missing all the fun because
you’re stuck in the National Meeting!
Merry Meet ‘07 will be held at a University, located in an area
that holds many other prestigious academic institutions. We’ve
decided to pull this energy into our event by incorporating the academic
concept of Poster Presentations. We are asking those
who are offering lectures, discussion panels, outings, and other activities
to create a poster explaining their topic of interest. These will be
clearly displayed in our main reception area and
at the BBQ on Saturday. We are requesting that the Presenters
stand (or sit) by their poster sometime during the lunch hours, thereby
giving all attendees an opportunity to meet, discuss and participate
in the festival.
In
addition, we are encouraging each Local Council to fashion a poster
highlighting their council, the people within it, their local environment,
local events and anything else you would like to share with the greater
body of CoG.
How you decorate your poster is up to you. Copies of presented papers,
photographs, graphs, collages…the ideas are endless.
Our
Poster/Workshop organizer, Ludmilla, will help you with guidelines and
suggestions. For further information, e-mail her at: workshop@merrymeet2007.org.
